What this site is

WildfireRiskFinder reports community-level wildfire hazard and building-exposure data from the US Forest Service's public Wildfire Risk to Communities dataset. It is informational only and is not a substitute for an insurer's own underwriting assessment of a specific property, a professional wildfire-risk inspection, or a real-estate disclosure required by state law.

No warranty on the figures

Every figure traces to a named USFS dataset, but community-level figures describe a place, not any one address, and 517 US places carry no score at all because USFS's own underlying data was too sparse — see the data-quality guide. Nothing on this site is guaranteed to match the risk assessment an insurer applies to a specific property, and no result here should be the sole basis for a purchase, insurance, or mortgage decision.
